ACORN (demographics) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

ACORN (acronym for A Classification Of Residential Neighbourhoods) is a geodemographic information system categorising all United Kingdom postcodes into various types based upon census data and other information such as lifestyle surveys. It was developed by Richard Webber of CACI Limited, who also developed the competing MOSAIC system

Mosaic UK is Experian’s people classification system. Originally created by Professor Richard Webber in association with Experian, it classifies the UK population into 11 main socio-economic groups and, within this, 61 different types.
